CR Studios respects your privacy. Aura is designed as a local-first app, meaning health and wellness information entered into Aura is stored on your device by default.

Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you use, Aura may store your name, health focus, goals, age, weight, cycle and bleeding history, symptoms, notes, mood, energy, stress, contraception information, health conditions, tracking preferences, notification settings and program progress.

This information is used on your device to provide tracking, predictions, insights, reminders, reports and other app functionality. Aura does not upload new health entries to CR Studios’ servers.

Aura’s live local store relies on your device’s operating-system encryption and access controls. It is not protected by a separate Aura database-encryption key.

Accounts and Older Versions of Aura

Aura does not require a new account or internet connection for its core tracking features.

Users who previously used an older account-based version of Aura may have an existing Supabase account and cloud-stored information. When an existing session is found, Aura may retrieve that information once and import it into the local device store. Aura does not upload newly entered health information back to Supabase. Existing users can delete a linked legacy account and associated cloud information from within Aura or contact us for assistance.

Analytics

Aura does not include third-party advertising or behavioural analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. Diagnostic information that you choose to share with Apple is handled according to your Apple device settings.

Apple Health

The current version of Aura does not request access to, read information from, or write information to Apple Health or HealthKit.

Subscriptions

Aura Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payment and provides Aura with subscription status and product information needed to unlock Premium features. CR Studios does not receive your complete payment-card details. Apple handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Aura requests notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Aura does not register your device for remote marketing notifications.

Backups and Reports

You may choose to create a password-protected backup. Backups are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before being presented through your device’s sharing options. CR Studios does not receive or store your backup password and cannot recover it.

You may also generate a health report on your device. Backup files and reports leave Aura only when you choose to save or share them. A service or person you select to receive a file will handle it under their own privacy practices. Deleting Aura’s local data does not delete backup files or reports you previously saved or shared.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local information remains on your device until you delete it through Aura, uninstall the app, erase the device, or otherwise remove the app’s storage. Aura provides controls for deleting local health data. Existing manually saved backups and reports must be deleted separately from their saved locations.

Third-Party Services

Aura uses Supabase only for existing legacy accounts, migration and account deletion. Apple provides App Store subscription purchasing and entitlement information. System sharing destinations process files only when you choose to share them.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held by CR Studios. Contact us to make a request.

These Terms of Use govern your use of Aura and other applications published by CR Studios. By downloading or using an app, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the App

You may use our apps only for lawful, personal purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not misuse an app, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or copy or distribute it except where the law permits.

Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Aura is a general wellness and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Cycle dates, fertile-window estimates, insights and other predictions are estimates and may be inaccurate.

Do not use Aura as contraception or as a substitute for professional medical advice. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional about symptoms, pregnancy, contraception or other health concerns. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Your Data and Backups

Aura stores new health entries locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for keeping any backup files and backup passwords secure. CR Studios cannot recover a forgotten backup password. Deleting data from Aura does not delete backup files or reports that you have already saved or shared. Our handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Accounts from Older Versions

Some users may have an account created by an older version of Aura. Those users can manage or delete a linked legacy account from within Aura or contact support for assistance.

Aura Premium Subscriptions

Aura may offer monthly or annual auto-renewing Premium subscriptions and may offer an introductory free trial. The exact price, billing period and any trial terms are shown in the app and in Apple’s purchase confirmation before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, the subscription renews automatically and Apple charges your account for the next period. You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting Aura does not cancel a subscription. Features already described as part of Aura’s free plan remain available without subscribing.

Intellectual Property

All app software, branding, graphics, written content and designs remain the property of CR Studios or its licensors unless otherwise stated. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that material to you.

Third-Party Services

Some features rely on third-party services identified in the Privacy Policy, including Supabase for linked legacy accounts and Apple for App Store purchases. Features that open external websites or use your device’s sharing options are also subject to the relevant third party’s terms and privacy practices.

Availability and Updates

We aim to keep our apps available and functioning, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will always be free from errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue features and may release updates that are required for continued use.

Limitation of Liability

Our apps are provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CR Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of an app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our apps, services or legal obligations change. The updated date will appear above. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to your future use.

Flint is a local-first iOS practice app published by CR Studios. Its core features work without an account or cloud sync, and the practice information you create is stored on your iPhone by default.

What Flint stores

Depending on the features you use, Flint may store your preferences, visit dates, completed actions, affirmations, intentions, programme progress, plans, weekly reviews, reflections, drafts, private rehearsals, saved wins, tools, monthly check-ins and a limited local activity history. Your writing is not sent to an AI service.

Analytics and third parties

Flint does not include third-party advertising, behavioural analytics, cross-app tracking or a third-party crash-reporting SDK. Apple processes App Store payments and device services. RevenueCat validates transactions, manages membership access and provides subscription reporting using purchase and entitlement records and a pseudonymous app customer identifier. Flint does not attach your journal or reflections to that customer record.

Reminders, widgets and exports

Optional reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. The optional widget shows your current intention and completion state, not private reflections. JSON backups and journal exports leave Flint only when you choose to save or share them; copies and device backups must be deleted separately.

Your choices

You can delete local data in Flint's settings or by removing the app. Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction records under their own policies. For privacy requests about information held by CR Studios, contact support@crstudios.app.

These Terms govern your use of Flint, an iOS app published by CR Studios. Flint is a personal practice tool for intentions, exercises, planning and reflection. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Wellbeing disclaimer

Flint is not medical care, mental-health treatment, therapy, counselling, diagnosis, crisis support or professional advice. It does not promise a particular confidence, wellbeing or other outcome. Contact a qualified professional or emergency service for health or safety concerns.

Flint Membership

Optional auto-renewing membership is purchased through Apple's App Store. Current UK prices are £3.99 per month or £24.99 per year. Eligible customers may receive three days free on the standard annual plan. A separate onboarding offer may provide the first year for £19.99, renewing at £24.99 per year. Offers, eligibility and local pricing are controlled by Apple. Manage or cancel through Apple subscription settings.

Your writing and availability

Your writing remains yours and is stored locally on your iPhone. Flint does not provide account-based cloud sync, so export or back up anything you want to keep before replacing or resetting your device. CR Studios' software, content and branding remain its intellectual property.
